271
ﺍِﻥْ ﺗُﺒْﺪُﻭﺍ ﺍﻟﺼَّﺪَﻗٰﺖِ ﻓَﻨِﻌِﻤَّﺎ ﻫِﻲَۚ ﻭَﺍِﻥْ
ﺗُﺨْﻔُﻮْﻫَﺎ ﻭَﺗُﺆْﺗُﻮْﻫَﺎ ﺍﻟْﻔُﻘَﺮَﺍۤﺀَ ﻓَﻬُﻮَ ﺧَﻴْﺮٌ ﻟَّﻜُﻢْ ۗ
ﻭَﻳُﻜَﻔِّﺮُ ﻋَﻨْﻜُﻢْ ﻣِّﻦْ ﺳَﻴِّﺎٰﺗِﻜُﻢْ ۗ ﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺑِﻤَﺎ
ﺗَﻌْﻤَﻠُﻮْﻥَ ﺧَﺒِﻴْﺮٌ
in tubduṣ-ṣadaqāti fa ni'immā hiy, wa in
tukhfụhā wa tu`tụhal-fuqarā`a fa huwa
khairul lakum, wa yukaffiru 'angkum min
sayyi`ātikum, wallāhu bimā ta'malụna khabīr
If you show your alms, then that is good. And if
you hide it and give it to the poor, it is better for
you and Allah will erase some of your faults. And
Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
272
۞ ﻟَﻴْﺲَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻚَ ﻫُﺪٰﻯﻬُﻢْ ﻭَﻟٰﻜِﻦَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻳَﻬْﺪِﻱْ
ﻣَﻦْ ﻳَّﺸَﺎۤﺀُ ۗﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺗُﻨْﻔِﻘُﻮْﺍ ﻣِﻦْ ﺧَﻴْﺮٍ
ﻓَﻠِﺎَﻧْﻔُﺴِﻜُﻢْ ۗﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺗُﻨْﻔِﻘُﻮْﻥَ ﺍِﻟَّﺎ ﺍﺑْﺘِﻐَﺎۤﺀَ ﻭَﺟْﻪِ
ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ۗﻭَﻣَﺎ ﺗُﻨْﻔِﻘُﻮْﺍ ﻣِﻦْ ﺧَﻴْﺮٍ ﻳُّﻮَﻑَّ ﺍِﻟَﻴْﻜُﻢْ
ﻭَﺍَﻧْﺘُﻢْ ﻟَﺎ ﺗُﻈْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
laisa 'alaika hudāhum wa lākinnallāha yahdī
may yasyā`, wa mā tunfiqụ min khairin fa
li`anfusikum, wa mā tunfiqụna illabtigā`a
waj-hillāh, wa mā tunfiqụ min khairiy yuwaffa
ilaikum wa antum lā tuẓlamụn
It is not for you (Muhammad) to guide them, but it
is Allah who guides whom He wills. Whatever
wealth you spend, then (the good) for yourself. And
do not spend except seeking the pleasure of Allah.
And whatever wealth you spend, you will be given
(reward) in full and you will not be wronged (lost).
273
ﻟِﻠْﻔُﻘَﺮَﺍۤﺀِ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍُﺣْﺼِﺮُﻭْﺍ ﻓِﻲْ ﺳَﺒِﻴْﻞِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻟَﺎ
ﻳَﺴْﺘَﻄِﻴْﻌُﻮْﻥَ ﺿَﺮْﺑًﺎ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽِۖ ﻳَﺤْﺴَﺒُﻬُﻢُ
ﺍﻟْﺠَﺎﻫِﻞُ ﺍَﻏْﻨِﻴَﺎۤﺀَ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟﺘَّﻌَﻔُّﻒِۚ ﺗَﻌْﺮِﻓُﻬُﻢْ
ﺑِﺴِﻴْﻤٰﻬُﻢْۚ ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺴْـَٔﻠُﻮْﻥَ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱَ ﺍِﻟْﺤَﺎﻓًﺎ ۗﻭَﻣَﺎ
ﺗُﻨْﻔِﻘُﻮْﺍ ﻣِﻦْ ﺧَﻴْﺮٍ ﻓَﺎِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﺑِﻪٖ ﻋَﻠِﻴْﻢٌ
lil-fuqarā`illażīna uḥṣirụ fī sabīlillāhi lā
yastaṭī'ụna ḍarban fil-arḍi yaḥsabuhumul-
jāhilu agniyā`a minat-ta'affuf, ta'rifuhum
bisīmāhum, lā yas`alụnan-nāsa il-ḥāfā, wa mā
tunfiqụ min khairin fa innallāha bihī 'alīm
(What you spend) is for the poor who are hindered
in the way of Allah, so that he who cannot strive in
the earth; (others) who do not know, think that they
are rich people because they keep themselves
(from begging). Thou (Muhammad) knowest them
by their characteristics, they do not ask forcibly
from others. Whatever good you spend, indeed,
Allah is Knowing.
274
ﺍَﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳُﻨْﻔِﻘُﻮْﻥَ ﺍَﻣْﻮَﺍﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﺑِﺎﻟَّﻴْﻞِ ﻭَﺍﻟﻨَّﻬَﺎﺭِ ﺳِﺮًّﺍ
ﻭَّﻋَﻠَﺎﻧِﻴَﺔً ﻓَﻠَﻬُﻢْ ﺍَﺟْﺮُﻫُﻢْ ﻋِﻨْﺪَ ﺭَﺑِّﻬِﻢْۚ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺧَﻮْﻑٌ
ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻫُﻢْ ﻳَﺤْﺰَﻧُﻮْﻥَ
allażīna yunfiqụna amwālahum bil-laili wan-
nahāri sirraw wa 'alāniyatan fa lahum
ajruhum 'inda rabbihim, wa lā khaufun
'alaihim wa lā hum yaḥzanụn
Those who spend their wealth by night and day,
secretly and openly, they shall have their reward
with their Lord. There is no fear in them and they
are not sad.
275
ﺍَﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳَﺄْﻛُﻠُﻮْﻥَ ﺍﻟﺮِّﺑٰﻮﺍ ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﻘُﻮْﻣُﻮْﻥَ ﺍِﻟَّﺎ ﻛَﻤَﺎ
ﻳَﻘُﻮْﻡُ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﻳَﺘَﺨَﺒَّﻄُﻪُ ﺍﻟﺸَّﻴْﻄٰﻦُ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺲِّۗ
ﺫٰﻟِﻚَ ﺑِﺎَﻧَّﻬُﻢْ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍِﻧَّﻤَﺎ ﺍﻟْﺒَﻴْﻊُ ﻣِﺜْﻞُ ﺍﻟﺮِّﺑٰﻮﺍۘ
ﻭَﺍَﺣَﻞَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺍﻟْﺒَﻴْﻊَ ﻭَﺣَﺮَّﻡَ ﺍﻟﺮِّﺑٰﻮﺍۗ ﻓَﻤَﻦْ ﺟَﺎۤﺀَﻩٗ
ﻣَﻮْﻋِﻈَﺔٌ ﻣِّﻦْ ﺭَّﺑِّﻪٖ ﻓَﺎﻧْﺘَﻬٰﻰ ﻓَﻠَﻪٗ ﻣَﺎ ﺳَﻠَﻒَۗ
ﻭَﺍَﻣْﺮُﻩٗٓ ﺍِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ۗ ﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﻋَﺎﺩَ ﻓَﺎُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ
ﺍَﺻْﺤٰﺐُ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭِ ۚ ﻫُﻢْ ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ ﺧٰﻠِﺪُﻭْﻥَ
allażīna ya`kulụnar-ribā lā yaqụmụna illā
kamā yaqụmullażī yatakhabbaṭuhusy-syaiṭānu
minal-mass, żālika bi`annahum qālū innamal-
bai'u miṡlur-ribā, wa aḥallallāhul-bai'a wa
ḥarramar-ribā, fa man jā`ahụ mau'iẓatum mir
rabbihī fantahā fa lahụ mā salaf, wa amruhū
ilallāh, wa man 'āda fa ulā`ika aṣ-ḥābun-nār,
hum fīhā khālidụn
Those who take usury cannot stand except as the
standing of those who enter the devil because of
madness. That is because they say that buying and
selling is the same as usury. Whereas Allah has
permitted trading and forbidden usury. Whoso
receiveth admonition from his Lord, and desireth,
then that which he obtained before is his and his
affair (is up) to Allah. Whoever repeats, then they
are the dwellers of hell, they will abide therein.
276
ﻳَﻤْﺤَﻖُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺍﻟﺮِّﺑٰﻮﺍ ﻭَﻳُﺮْﺑِﻰ ﺍﻟﺼَّﺪَﻗٰﺖِ ۗ ﻭَﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ
ﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺤِﺐُّ ﻛُﻞَّ ﻛَﻔَّﺎﺭٍ ﺍَﺛِﻴْﻢٍ
yam-ḥaqullāhur-ribā wa yurbiṣ-ṣadaqāt,
wallāhu lā yuḥibbu kulla kaffārin aṡīm
Allah destroys usury and enriches alms. Allah does
not like anyone who remains in disbelief and sinful.
277
ﺍِﻥَّ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮْﺍ ﻭَﻋَﻤِﻠُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﺼّٰﻠِﺤٰﺖِ ﻭَﺍَﻗَﺎﻣُﻮﺍ
ﺍﻟﺼَّﻠٰﻮﺓَ ﻭَﺍٰﺗَﻮُﺍ ﺍﻟﺰَّﻛٰﻮﺓَ ﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﺍَﺟْﺮُﻫُﻢْ ﻋِﻨْﺪَ
ﺭَﺑِّﻬِﻢْۚ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺧَﻮْﻑٌ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻫُﻢْ ﻳَﺤْﺰَﻧُﻮْﻥَ
innallażīna āmanụ wa 'amiluṣ-ṣāliḥāti wa
aqāmuṣ-ṣalāta wa ātawuz-zakāta lahum
ajruhum 'inda rabbihim, wa lā khaufun
'alaihim wa lā hum yaḥzanụn
Indeed, those who believe, do good deeds, perform
prayers and pay the poor-due, their reward is with
their Lord. There is no fear in them and they are
not sad.
278
ﻳٰٓﺎَﻳُّﻬَﺎ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮﺍ ﺍﺗَّﻘُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻭَﺫَﺭُﻭْﺍ ﻣَﺎ
ﺑَﻘِﻲَ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟﺮِّﺑٰﻮٓﺍ ﺍِﻥْ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﻣُّﺆْﻣِﻨِﻴْﻦَ
yā ayyuhallażīna āmanuttaqullāha wa żarụ mā
baqiya minar-ribā ing kuntum mu`minīn
O you who believe! Fear Allah and leave the rest of
usury (which has not been collected) if you are
believers.
279
ﻓَﺎِﻥْ ﻟَّﻢْ ﺗَﻔْﻌَﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻓَﺄْﺫَﻧُﻮْﺍ ﺑِﺤَﺮْﺏٍ ﻣِّﻦَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ
ﻭَﺭَﺳُﻮْﻟِﻪٖۚ ﻭَﺍِﻥْ ﺗُﺒْﺘُﻢْ ﻓَﻠَﻜُﻢْ ﺭُﺀُﻭْﺱُ ﺍَﻣْﻮَﺍﻟِﻜُﻢْۚ
ﻟَﺎ ﺗَﻈْﻠِﻤُﻮْﻥَ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺗُﻈْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
fa il lam taf'alụ fa`żanụ biḥarbim minallāhi
wa rasụlih, wa in tubtum fa lakum ru`ụsu
amwālikum, lā taẓlimụna wa lā tuẓlamụn
If you do not do so, then declare war from Allah
and His Messenger. But if you repent, then you are
entitled to the principal of your property. You did
not do wrong (harm) and were not wronged
(harmed).
280
ﻭَﺍِﻥْ ﻛَﺎﻥَ ﺫُﻭْ ﻋُﺴْﺮَﺓٍ ﻓَﻨَﻈِﺮَﺓٌ ﺍِﻟٰﻰ ﻣَﻴْﺴَﺮَﺓٍ ۗ
ﻭَﺍَﻥْ ﺗَﺼَﺪَّﻗُﻮْﺍ ﺧَﻴْﺮٌ ﻟَّﻜُﻢْ ﺍِﻥْ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
wa ing kāna żụ 'usratin fa naẓiratun ilā
maisarah, wa an taṣaddaqụ khairul lakum ing
kuntum ta'lamụn
And if (the debtor) is in trouble, then give him a
grace period until he gets relief. And if you give
charity, it is better for you, if you know.
