Letter Al Fatihah
Al Fatihah (Opening)
1
ﺑِﺴْﻢِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤٰﻦِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣِﻴْﻢِ
bismillāhir-raḥmānir-raḥīm
In the name of God,Most Gracious,Most Merciful.

ﺍَﻟْﺤَﻤْﺪُ ﻟِﻠّٰﻪِ ﺭَﺏِّ ﺍﻟْﻌٰﻠَﻤِﻴْﻦَۙ
al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-'ālamīn
Praise be to Allah,Lord of the worlds,

ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤٰﻦِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣِﻴْﻢِۙ
ar-raḥmānir-raḥīm
The Most Merciful,the Most Compassionate,
4
ﻣٰﻠِﻚِ ﻳَﻮْﻡِ ﺍﻟﺪِّﻳْﻦِۗ
māliki yaumid-dīn
Owner of the Day of Judgment.
5
ﺍِﻳَّﺎﻙَ ﻧَﻌْﺒُﺪُ ﻭَﺍِﻳَّﺎﻙَ ﻧَﺴْﺘَﻌِﻴْﻦُۗ
iyyāka na'budu wa iyyāka nasta'īn
Only to You do we worship and only to You do we ask for help.

ﺍِﻫْﺪِﻧَﺎ ﺍﻟﺼِّﺮَﺍﻁَ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺴْﺘَﻘِﻴْﻢَ ۙ
ihdinaṣ-ṣirāṭal-mustaqīm
Show us the straight path,
7
ﺻِﺮَﺍﻁَ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍَﻧْﻌَﻤْﺖَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻢْ ەۙ ﻏَﻴْﺮِ
ﺍﻟْﻤَﻐْﻀُﻮْﺏِ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﺍﻟﻀَّﺎۤﻟِّﻴْﻦَ
ṣirāṭallażīna an'amta 'alaihim gairil-magḍụbi
'alaihim wa laḍ-ḍāllīn
The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed favors; not (the way) of those who are wroth,nor (the way) of those who go astray.
